Villanova University has been the #1 ranked Regional University in the North by U.S. News and World Report for the past twenty-three years. Earlier this year Villanova was elevated to a national university and the rankings are officially out.

Villanova University is ranked #50 in the Nation!

The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, which administers the official classification system for all U.S. colleges and universities, announced in February that it had elevated Villanova to the Doctoral University level. The new classification reflects the growing number of PhD offerings at Villanova and quality of research.

There are approximately 1400 colleges and universities listed in the U.S. News and World Report, of those just over 300 are classified with Villanovaas National Universities. This ranking places Villanova among the top 16 percent of the most prestigious higher institutions in the nation.

Villanova was also ranked in a special category earning the #29 Best Colleges for Veterans!

These changes highlight the quality and depth of the academic opportunities available to students at our University. It is an exciting time to be a Villanova Wildcat!
