The Power of Play | #HRTea
The next episode of #HRTea is now live on iTunes and Google Play! This episode is the final episode of a three part mini-series that was recorded last October at the SHRM Inclusion conference in New Orleans. Each of the episodes in this mini-series focused on topics related to workplace inclusion. In this episode, Bethany sat down with Blair Bloomston of Game On Nation to discuss how the power of play can spark inclusion.
Game On Nation is a company that provides game-based training experiences focused on helping leaders and professionals in organizations improve their communication, innovation, and team dynamics through game play. If you are wondering how game play leads to inclusion, I think Blair explains it best in this quote from the episode:
"There are three rules of the game: 1. Have each others back. 2. Laugh with, not at. 3. Celebrate small wins. These rules of the game provide a pathway for adults to remember what inclusion feels like. They are a level set that give people language to speak up in a moment of incivility."
