October Meeting

Navigating a Virtual World

Wednesday, October 14

5:30-7pm

Join Villanova and St. Joseph's SHRM student chapters for a night of networking and professional development.  For our October meeting, VUSHRM will be joined by the St. Joseph's SHRM student chapter.  This event will give students an opportunity to network with other student SHRM members.

Now that most of us are living and working in a virtual world, many are struggling with navigating this virtual environment.  This meeting, we will be joined by Alissa Carpenter to discuss communication strategies and connecting with your team as a virtual workforce, and she will share ways to boost morale, both your own and for those around you.

About our Guest Speaker:

Alissa Carpenter, M.Ed., is a multigenerational workplace expert, author, speaker, podcast host, and learning facilitator.  She is passionate about humanizing workplaces and bridging communication barriers, one conversation at a time.  She has worked with non-profits to multi-billion dollar enterprises across many industries and presented to high school students, interns, individual organization contributors, middle managers, all the way up to C-suite executives and board members.  Learn more about Alissa on her website.
