Congrats VUHRD Student, Emma Edoga, on winning the 2017 GVFHRA Graduate Scholarship!
We are excited to announce VUHRD Student, Emma Edoga, was the 2017 recipient of the Graduate Student Scholarship from the Greater Valley Forge Human Resource Association! GVFHRA never fails to impress in their events. Particularly last week, on Tuesday, November 14th, when they held another successful dinner meeting. The opportunity offered professionals from the greater Philadelphia area a chance to mingle while enjoying a delicious meal, and for Emma Edoga, a student of Villanova University’s Human Resource Development program, it was a chance to succeed and show her pride in achievement.
GVFHRA regularly offers scholarships to students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate human resource programs. The Michael R. Losey scholarship award, a merit scholarship award, was delivered at this particular meeting. This award is available to students who are committed to pursuing a career in human resources. Specifically, students who have shown strong academic ability and early engagement and accomplishments in human resource related areas. Emma Edoga rose above the rest of the graduate applicants, winning the $3,500 scholarship.
Emma is a second-year student in the HRD program at Villanova University, as well as a Graduate Assistant, and VUSHRM Chapter Co-President. Impressively, Emma currently holds a 4.0 GPA. After graduating, Emma plans on applying to Ph.D. Programs in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. VUHRD Director, Dr. Gerry Brandon shared his confidence in Emma’s future success in the recommendation letter he wrote for the scholarship. We are very proud to have Emma as a student and supporting member of the VUHRD program! Connect with Emma here!
