2018 VUHRD Annual Networking Reception | Save the Date: Wednesday, April 11, 2018

Every spring, the Villanova Graduate HRD Program invites students, alumni, faculty and our local HR community to join us for a night of networking & learning. This event is hosted by VUHRD and our student SHRM chapter, VUSHRM. The theme for the 2018 VUHRD Annual Networking Reception is Businesses Bettering the World: HR's Role in Corporate Social Responsibility.

Featuring Keynote Speaker GRADY LEE

We are excited to announce our 2018 Keynote Speaker, Grady Lee. Grady has spent the past decade creating opportunities and experiences for people to engage with each other and help change the world. He is CEO of Give2Get, a production company that creates social impact programs for events, companies, and brands. In 2015, Grady co-founded and now chairs the executive committee of IMPACT 2030, the only private-sector led initiative with the United Nations aligning human capital investments to help achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. An Event with a Social Impact

This year, the #VUHRDANR will feature a social impact project benefiting Dawn's Place. Dawn's Place is a residential, 501(c) 3 non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Dawn's Place works to improve the lives of women trapped by, or at risk for, Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSE) by providing housing, trauma recovery services, vocational training and other services. Dawn's Place also raises awareness of CSE via education, prevention, public policy reform and community collaborations. Learn more about Dawn's Place here.

During the #VUHRDANR, guests will take part in a project to create items that will be donated to Dawn's Place. We know that our students and guests join us each year to create connections with one another and learn something that they can take back to their own organizations. This year, we are also excited to provide our guests an opportunity to do something more that can create an impact in our community.
