Developing Culture Through Values at AD | #HRTea

The latest episode of #HRTea is now available on iTunes and Google Play. This episode is titled Developing Culture Through Values at AD and features an interview with business leader, Jack Templin. Jack is the Chief Programs Officer and President of Industrial Divisions at AD, or Affiliated Distributors. AD is a member-owned organization that brings independent distributors and supplier partners together to help them grow and stay ahead of their competition.

In this episode, we will step out of our HR bubble to consider how HR topics like culture, engagement, benefits, and values, are thought of from non-HR business leaders. Jack will explain how AD is working towards "purposeful culture" to drive values through employees to customers. You will hear how AD has been successful at incorporating 34 fundamental values (Yes, 34!) into the day-to-day operations and culture of the organization.

This episode was a fun one for our host, Bethany Adams to record. She has known Jack for over 25 years, growing up directly across the street from his family and babysitting for his three daughters through her high school years. Jack and his wife, Shelly, are two of the reasons Bethany ended up at Texas A&M University, as they are both also Texas Aggies! Gig 'Em!

Here are a few links to connect with Jack and AD after you listen to the episode:

We would love to hear what you thought of the episode and how you plan to incorporate some of your ideas into your organization. Share your thoughts here or through social media using #HRTea. Cheers!
