HRD Faculty Spotlight | Kelly Jones

We are here with an HRD Faculty spotlight! We sat down with Kelly Jones who gave us some insight into his life, career, and journey with Villanova HRD.

Tell us a little bit about yourself!

My name is Kelly Jones (he/him/is). I'm originally from South Jersey, but have been a resident in Collegeville, PA for almost 17 years. I graduated from Temple University ('96) with a degree in Business Administration and Rutgers University ('04) with a Masters in Human Resources. I'm married, with 3 kids and our dog. When I'm not working or teaching, I coach youth basketball and referee, and every now and then, I can play a decent round of golf. I'm also a grillmaster and have been known to make the world's best grilled chicken!

Tell us about your current job and role

I'm currently the SVP and Chief Human Resources Officer for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.

What course do you teach?

I am currently teaching HRD 8421 - Diversity in a Global Economy.

What do you enjoy most about being a part of the Villanova HRD community?

I really appreciate how connected and engaged the Villanova HRD community is - and of course, my students make the teaching experience truly rewarding. Quite honestly, I'm learning more from my students than they are probably learning from me!

We are so lucky to have Kelly as a part of our Villanova community!

Kelly Jones is a professor in the Villanova HRD program. Connect with him here!
