We’re proud to officially welcome our new graduate assistants and introduce the 2025–2026 VUSHRM board as we begin another impactful year in the VillanovaHRD program. This team is ready to lead with purpose, creativity, and collaboration, bringing a full calendar of events and initiatives to life. But before we dive in, let’s take a moment to meet the faces behind VUSHRM.

Starting off we have our new Director of Chapter Operations, Abby Fortune

"I grew up on the coast of Maine and moved to the Philly area to pursue my B.A. in Growth & Structure of Cities with a minor in Psychology at Bryn Mawr College. My interest in HR began when I worked as a junior career counselor in my college's career center. After graduating in 2023, I worked with Drexel University as an Admissions Counselor and Employer Relations Coordinator for two years. As a current HRD grad assistant, and I am so excited to connect with VUSHRM members and HRD students. Please email me if you have questions about the program, and I am happy to help!"

Next we have Alexis Gabrielle, our new Director of Finance!

"Hi everyone, my name is Alexis! I am originally from the Chester County area and attended West Chester University for my undergraduate studies. There I learned about Psychology and Digital Marketing in addition to earning a Community Engagement Certificate. I am now a first-year graduate student at Villanova where I’m studying Human Resource Development. I am excited to work with faculty and my fellow peers as a graduate assistant this year! I look forward to working with the Villanova and SHRM community to learn, grow, and network!

Finally we have Gina Imperiale, our new Director of Membership Engagement!

"Hi everyone! My name is Gina Imperiale and I am from Howell, New Jersey. I graduated from Villanova University this past May with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minors in Sustainability and Cognitive Science. I am gratefully continuing my studies here, serving as a Graduate Assistant for the HRD program while pursuing an MS in HRD with a HRBP certification. Guided by a curiosity of the human mind, our environments, and the connections between them, I aim to integrate sustainability efforts and promote psychology-based practices in the workplace through HR. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!"
